Our story

Birch Creek Haven came to be from a journey that ultimately and thankfully led us to Georgia. The name combines some favorites for us in nature and in meaning. Birch for beginnings, Creek for our love of water, and Haven for a place of rest.

We have lived and learned-we still are-that the simple, everyday moments make up some of the best in life, that risks teach us and grow us, that home, friendship, and family are to be found wherever God may take us, and laughter truly is medicine.

Whether it is a trail walk to the waterfall, a cup of coffee or tea on the porch, a ballgame in season, a ride on the tractor, or a scroll through our social media pages, we hope to encourage a love for small beginnings, big adventures, learning curves, and God’s beautiful creation.

Haven days...where the wind rustles the leaves, animals and birds sing their songs, work coincides with dreams, and paths meet to help us all on our way.

“For a seed to achieve its greatest expression, it must come completely undone. The shell cracks, its insides come out and everything changes. To someone who doesn’t understand growth, it would look like complete destruction.”

— Cynthia Occelli
